Just Like Us was founded for a simple reason: growing up LGBT+ is still unacceptably tough.
Their mission is to empower young people to champion LGBT+ equality. Just Like Us want all young people to know that being LGBT+ is something to be celebrated.
LGBT+ young people still face unacceptable levels of lesbophobia, homophobia, biphobia and transphobia – 85% still regularly hear homophobic remarks (Prescient for Just Like Us, 2019). These experiences can have a life-long negative impact and, while young people are struggling, their teachers and peers are rarely equipped with the information they need to support them.
Just Like Us already had a strong visual identity for us to work with on this brochure design project.
With such a great colour scheme and visual elements to work with, the design of the brochure simply built upon what was already there.
