Sustainable Procurement Policy.

Policy Statement

Toast Design Consultancy Limited recognises that our procurement decisions have a direct impact on our local and global environment, economies, and societies. Therefore, we are committed to integrating sustainability into all aspects of our procurement processes and decisions to promote positive environmental, social, and economic outcomes.

Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to establish the principles and standards that will guide Toast Design Consultancy Limited in making procurement decisions that are environmentally sound, socially responsible, and economically viable over the long term.

Scope

This policy applies to all procurement and contracting processes at Toast Design Consultancy Limited, including purchasing goods and services, selecting vendors and contractors, and managing contracts.

Principles

  1. Efficiency and Waste Minimisation: Prioritise the procurement of products and services that demonstrate efficiency in the use of energy, water, and materials. Actively seek to reduce waste and promote recycling and reuse.
  2. Environmental Protection: Select products and services that have a reduced environmental impact during their lifecycle—from production to disposal.
  3. Social Responsibility: Ensure that suppliers and contractors adhere to ethical labour practices, respect human rights, and contribute positively to their communities.
  4. Economic Viability: Ensure that procurement decisions are cost-effective in the long-term, considering lifecycle costs and the benefits of reducing environmental and social impacts.
  5. Local Sourcing: Where possible, source from local suppliers to reduce carbon footprint associated with transportation and to support the local economy.
  6. Supplier Diversity: Encourage diversity among suppliers, including small businesses, minority-owned businesses, and women’s enterprises.
